Starting Point: Sibiu

2. Biertan - UNESCO World Heritage site

     The route from Sibiu to Biertan is a short and scenic journey that takes visitors through the beautiful countryside of Transylvania. Biertan is a charming village known for its fortified church, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Main Attraction:
Biertan Fortified Church: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Biertan Fortified Church is one of the most important Gothic-style Saxon churches in Transylvania. Built in the 15th century, it served as a center of Lutheranism in the region and features a stunning blend of Gothic and Renaissance architecture, with intricate stonework and fortified walls.
Scenic Surroundings: The village of Biertan is surrounded by beautiful countryside and offers a peaceful atmosphere for visitors.

3. Mălâncrav

      A peaceful and historic village, offering a glimpse into Transylvania's past with its beautiful church and serene surroundings.

  • Fortified Church of Mălâncrav: dates back to the 13th century, originally built by the Saxon settlers of Transylvania. It served as both a religious and defensive structure during medieval times.       Mălâncrav’s fortified church is one of the lesser-known gems in Transylvania, yet it is an important piece of local Saxon heritage and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list of fortified churches of Transylvania    


4. Sighișoara - Medieval Citadel:

      One of the most beautiful and well-preserved medieval towns in Romania, located in the heart of Transylvania. It stands out for its historical charm, colorful buildings, and its status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site

  • The Clock Tower, the symbol of the citadel, with its museum and spectacular views.

6. Return to Sibiu

     After visiting Agnita, you'll head back to Sibiu by approximately 7:00 PM.
